Choosing to work with a financial advisor is a big decision. We are honored that you are considering our firm. Please review the following information. If you still have questions, please give us a call. We are always happy to talk to our clients or potential clients.

  • Why do I need a financial advisor? Can't I do it on my own?

The question is, do you need professional help to create and implement an effective financial and retirement income plan? To some degree, this depends on your unique situation, but most people find that they are better off seeking the information, expertise, experience, and discipline provided by a financial advisor.

  • What can I expect from a financial advisor?

Hiring an advisor provides you with knowledge and resources with which to approach planning your financial future. Specifically, financial professionals can help to:

    • Avoid costly mistakes, manage risk, and save time so you can do what you enjoy doing.
    • Guide you through the maze of retirement options -- 401(k), IRA, Roth IRA, defined benefit pensions, annuities, and more.
    • Help you decide when to start drawing your social security or railroad retirement benefits.
    • Decrease your estate tax liability, thereby aiding the financial stability of your loved ones.
    • Reach your education savings goals through 529 Plans and other techniques.
    • Determine the type and amount of insurance you need to protect yourself, your family, and your assets.
    • Minimize your taxes and plan to reduce future tax impact.

A financial professional can provide the emotional discipline required to help make sure plans are acted upon. They provide guidance, reassurance, support and stability to help you stay on course and reach your long-term goals.

  • What can I expect from my first appointment?

Your first appointment is an opportunity to clarify your financial goals as we gather all the information we need that tells us where you are at today.
